The geometric pattern of this floor piece entitled LET'S TAKE A RIDE ON THE MAGIC CARPET contains a gradation of an inscribed circle in a square which has a symbolic meaning and that is the transition from the material to the spiritual world. The title of the installation directly indicates to the well-known Aladdin's carpet from the Arabian fairy tales "One Thousand and One Nights". The magic of the carpet derives from the ability to fly carrying Aladdin wherever he wishes. In the same way, this work invites us to release our thoughts and imagination and open our minds towards a different experience of the world. It also challenge us to perceive things from different perspective, to notice the sea of potentials which exists around us, to keep the child spirit within and to allow it to take us and "fly" into the world of fantasy and fairytales where everything is possible once we step on the magic carpet.
