Fingerprint

FINGERPRINT unfolds as a rhythmic play of black and white ceramic cylinders, arranged in a precise order that gradually reveals the image of an enlarged, stylized fingerprint – the ultimate marker of human identity.

Within these ceramic forms, printed eyes gaze outward through Plexiglas, while circular mirrors multiply the view, creating a shifting optical illusion of depth, like peering through binoculars. This interplay of repetition, reflection, and vision evokes both surveillance and self-awareness.

The work speaks of identity not only as a biological imprint but as a state of consciousness. The “awakened” eyes suggest those individuals who look more deeply, who reflect upon themselves and the world, and who recognize the invisible patterns shaping human existence.
